I love the idea of a recurring villain, and that you used the goblin as the embodiment of the "one" theme! 
It has a classic JRPG feel, and I liked the tone you chose for Rowan and the NPCs. 
One issue I did bump into was that it took a while for the goblin to show up, and when he did, the dialogue between Rowan and the goblin implied that they'd run into each other before. (I didn't see him at all during the first quest, so I'm wondering if I missed him somehow?) 
Fun take on the jam, and I enjoyed playing!!

You may have indeed missed the first interaction during the first quest, since I was experimenting with a “roaming” enemy. I was afraid it might happen so I narrowed the space to facilitate it and even then I was afraid it still wouldn’t guarantee the interaction. Guess  was right on that. Glad you still enjoyed it overall.
