I remember playing a game just like this on my DS, it was a lego ninjago game
The original idea behind this was inspired partially by the Lego DS game, "Lego Battles" (A castle-themed rts that you can actually still download and play today)
that's cool, reminds me of a whole bunch of stuff yeah
