U defo do need the pistol. U cant get out of the underground section with only the knife.
You can skip sniper and smg with only the sword using reset momentum conservation (rcm) (i just made that made up) and beat it in less than 2 minutes
pretty cool, but most people play glitchless
Ummm ashuualyy you can skip both the smg and sniper in different playthroughs without "glitches" but it's definitely unintended

YOU DONT NEED THE PISTOL AT ALL!! YOU LIED TO ME!! YOU CAN JUST GO BACK TO THE LEFT AND GET THE SNIPER RIFLE YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO GO TO THE PISTOL ZONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!
yup, it took me 5 mins to beat the game cuz I skipped the pistol
