What version are You playing in? As far as I know, The windows version is working fine, unless if you play in the later two versions since I didn't have the devices to play tested the other versions.
I was playing on the Windows version, I did the battle specifically after the avoiding the pack cutscene.(Edit) I went into the game again and tried to get tfed again and it happened again, even when I am outside of the cutscene area.
Ahh I see the problem now... I'll fix it in the next update!
Actually, the softlock is only happen with the single wolf encounter so you can avoid it by simply escape when encountered the single wolf for now.
