It's not even that long of an update cycle. I see loads of other in-progress games on itchio get an update like once a year and no one complains about that
I agree, especially consider that the recent updates this game has had were HUGE, which makes it even more impressive; as a coder myself I struggle to bring most of my projects even into a playable state as I have an aneurysm when I look at my own past code.
