KnightBound's itch.io pageJudge feedback
Judge feedback is anonymous.
- KnightBound is an enjoyable endless runner. As is common in the genre, it starts at a slower pace and gradually introduces new mechanics, such as jump pads and orbs. The running animation, however, felt a bit stiff and could benefit from smoother transitions to better convey motion. I also noticed that interacting with the blue orbs was sometimes finicky and didn’t always register correctly. Increasing the hitbox size slightly might make this interaction feel more consistent and forgiving. The music choice was appropriate and quite good, but its short loop made the repetition noticeable. Extending the track length or ensuring seamless looping could prevent the brief 1–2 second silence between repeats, keeping the audio flow uninterrupted. Your GDD is currently quite minimal and lacks several key components. I recommend reviewing the provided example document. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Vl7BMvzUOhbunJrI_X1gUc6x-LAp3aaBiPwHUf27B70 Overall, KnightBound is a solid foundation for an endless runner, and with a few animation, audio, and interaction refinements, it could become a polished and engaging experience.

Summarize your game!
You're a knight running through a randomly generated dungeon, trying to reach the end and save the princess. Press space to jump, interact with jump pads, and interact with dash orbs.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
Only uses 1 button (space bar), and only 1hp.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?

Simple, but nicely working runner) I just wish there was sound feedback for jumps and interactions.
Thank you! I could definitely add sound. I just need to find one that's not annoying.
This was a nice relaxing game to play. But a bit too relaxed. It felt nice for a while. But at around 400ish I was starting to get a bit bored. It said at the beginning that the speed would increase. But I did not notice any increase in speed.
It is a very slow speed increase. I think it stops around 500. I could make it steeper though. Thanks for the feedback!
Was a fun game!
Though I would not have minded a quicker speed increase so it would become more challenging
Thank you! I'll increase the speed whenever I revisit the project. I'm surprised anyone would has gotten to 2000.
This game was really fun it reminded me of geometry dash!
Thank you! That was part of the inspiration.
