Hey, yeah, that was a thing, but apparently at least Itch backpedaled and is re-listing adult games as of yesterday, I think.
For me, things are fine, more or less - I wasn't and shouldn't feel too much of an impact from this, seeing as, to my knowledge, they only went against loli and incest (and potentially rape?) games in the first place. None of these things are in CH, so the worst that could've happened was a temporary delisting.
Ah, The Inn. Great game. Enjoyed it a lot. Did the name-giving Inn finally appear in the game? :P
Anyway, yes, Steam was hit by a very similar thing as well. As for Patreon - well, they've been doing this for years at this point. Games with either of the above tags (plus others like hypnosis/mind control) haven't been allowed on Patreon for a long time and they do regular ban waves.
