Thank you! My plan was to use the Ninjas, the last enemy on the kings gates, to force the player to diverge their army to kill each ninja, but I found in play testing I was having more fun with the linear approach and didn't like starting over for a diverging path personally and preferred that it be possible to complete the game (mostly) linearly. At least for the prototype. If the game catches momentum I'd love to experiment with other levels, maybe puzzles that require interacting with certain buttons on diverging paths to open the real path forward or something.
