For version 0.5 or earlier? We do support old save files, but very old saves (from 2024) might indeed be incompatible (or more precisely, could lead to dead-end situations).
This old save is from sometime in 2024, so I think that's what the issue was. I'll just go ahead and restart the save file on the new version, then. Thanks!
