I'm no fan of this kind of horror game, actually, but I think this is professional made like the others in the comment said. Maybe I accidentally found the secret path so I reached to the end without doing much tasks beside took a drawer key and some batteries.

Not sure if you want this, but you can add a "dim light" around the player character when they are in the dark and no light at all, like what Amnesia: The Dark Descent did, so that the player do not get lost at all even in the dark, and the player still feel tense when navigating the house.

Anyway, good luck with your game dev journey!

Thanks so much for checking it out — especially since horror’s not usually your thing! That means a lot 🙏

And yeah... you might’ve stumbled into the "any% taskless speedrun route" 😅 That’s on me — definitely gotta lock down the progression better so people don’t beat the game by just politely stealing a key and some batteries 😂

I love your suggestion about the dim light — that’s actually a brilliant middle ground between total darkness and full visibility. Amnesia really nailed that balance, and it’s a great reference. I’ll definitely look into implementing something similar post-jam.

Appreciate the kind words and the smart feedback — and thanks for the good wishes too! Wishing you the best on your own journey as well 🚀
