So theory time. I saw that no one said anything about this yet and I want to know what other people think of this This will obviously contain spoilers so stop reading here if you haven't read Interlude III.

This is gonna sound wildly out there but what if Vivian is Diana? First we see that Vivian is very fond of caring of plants which is a trait that Diana has shown in some of the flashbacks that we get from Cyrus's memories. Second, she goes on to say that who her father was is classified information. We know what happened to Diana's dad, that he was part of Resoom before he killed himself which would obviously be something that would be kept under wraps and possibly even warrant a name change for Diana. Next she points out that she is fond of the tiger doll because it reminds her of an old friend who was "Sweet and funny" which could definitely describe Damion. We also know that Vivian is not a carrier and is just someone that is kept around for other reasons. This could be very wrong of course, but I felt like there were to many similarities to point out.

I've actually talked about this in my comment about Interlude III, I was subtle about who Vivian could be WHEH. Yeaaa I agree these traits of Vivian is very similar to Diana, it's going to be interesting if she ever mentions about Cyrus to Lance. If she does remember him.

I thought it was obvious that she is Diana lowky

Spoiler :

As I pointed out in some youtube video long ago, this was already hinted back in their first encounter (with Lance). Not only the plant caring trait was present, but her kinda crude and teasing way of speaking, her poneytail, and most of all her "tag" in the Resoom / Current organisation, as Artemis addressed her as "N°2", were already pointing out in the fact she might be older and different from the actuals carriers (like, number two of what ? Certainly not carriers since they've been "harvested" for centuries).

The new interlude just cemented the fact out of mere hypothesis once and for all by bringing new hints about her father and Damion. There's now too many hints to even need her to be addressed as Diana anymore to confirm it.

We don't 100% know what happened to her father, even Cy admitted as much. It's only a rumor he heard. Her father could just as well be the big boss, or, even more of a twist, Cyrus!!  Maybe she says classified because that's all shes been told? Maybe they didn't want her to know it was Cyrus for whatever reason? I mean, Vita has a love for botany as well, maybe he's her father and she doesn’t know he's alive? Maybe they told her he died so she wouldn't go looking for him?

I didn't even think of it like that at all but that is actually an amazing theory!

That's the mark of a great storyteller. Have many options that all seem equally plausible, but none more so than the others. It keeps you engaged, how many times have we all been watching a movie and within 10min we can identify the "big bad," the hero, love intrest, and what the twist will be‽ Takes the wind out of your sales pretty quick. That's why Infinity War was better than End Game imo. We didn't know 100% which were going to get dusted, but we all knew like 10yrs ago who was going to lay down on the wire and everything would be fine otherwise.

I think there are a few FVN's, RTF included, are incredibly well written, almost shockingly so with some. Just shows the passion of the writer almost always comes through in the story.

Fr!! RTF hooked me in pretty quickly when I first started reading it, and had to stop because I was reading for like 6 hours and it was already morning WHEH. The story of this FVN is really interesting, and as you said opens up hundreds of possibilities of what will happen next.

The characters are so well written with them having different mixes of strengths and flaws and having much general characteristics/stereotypes.

This FVN really does make me hungry for more content

My first ever FVN was Arches, arguably one of the worst to introduce u to the genre. I found it on a friday night in January. I read from 11pm to just after 6am. I couldn't stop!! Like, I was full on ugly sobbing crying by the end of it. I've never done that before in my entire 43yrs, it was crazy, and even that isn't a good enough descriptor.  I like the ones that don't use furry porn with comically oversized cocks to make them popular. I'd much rather a good story that has a love scene or 2 like Lyre, Northern Lights, Soulcreek or FBtW. Or ones that don't have any sex scenes at all, ala, RTF, Roads Yet Traveled, etc. They all survive on their content and amazing storytelling. Any of the ones me mentioned could be shown to ones parent's or anyone else that's not into furries or gay. They're just like the cartoons of the late 80s, to late 90s which were damn near all anthro characters, no wonder we all turned out to be furries!! Shit, even The Care Bears or The Racoons,, meant for little kids were great furry content
