To the point I'm asking : I know it's not one of the most common languages in VN, but when I do enjoy one so much, I feel compeled to do a French translation for my benefit and some of my friends not that much good with English ; so nothing broadcasted on socials, just private use.

If you check the patreon page, even without being member to see the full post, the title of his lastest update 31th July is titled with "release date", so since another post partially public said it was pretty much done a few month ago and started the editing, this mean the next update is most certainly about to release (for patreon i guess) very soon.

It's also consistent with his yearly release schedule.

As I pointed out in some youtube video long ago, this was already hinted back in their first encounter (with Lance). Not only the plant caring trait was present, but her kinda crude and teasing way of speaking, her poneytail, and most of all her "tag" in the Resoom / Current organisation, as Artemis addressed her as "N°2", were already pointing out in the fact she might be older and different from the actuals carriers (like, number two of what ? Certainly not carriers since they've been "harvested" for centuries).

The new interlude just cemented the fact out of mere hypothesis once and for all by bringing new hints about her father and Damion. There's now too many hints to even need her to be addressed as Diana anymore to confirm it.

But there's technically no difference from the first four paths but that missing update. Once conditions are met, the ending is traced.

There's simply a few moments in the games where the choices made (or the password found or not) are changing the course of the story.

Additionnally, there's 2 of the 6 routes where events are solving themselves regardless of the password failed or not, preventing some ending to be reached on thoses 2 routes.

If so, expect a bit of changes by failing a certain password at some point when running another route. If not, my apologize.

Lol, not really that surprising, actually. French is still on top 10 most common language, and one that have the most ties to (and influence on) english due to US history :)

It's just not getting a lot of spotlight when it's not about popular kind of content. But even FVN (or regular VN) have French translation sometime.

(Example for first line : We could question about how the culprit from C1 manage to move two whole doors, with the weight of a body added to one, without making any ruckus in the middle of the night (by stairs? elevator? not to mention the first door is larger due to the weapon piercing through it), all the while having lost his eyesight and with his overall "frail-looking" musculature, or at least compared to the "one-man-only-to-move-a-door" task at hand.)

Depend. 

Some events have multiple bad ending, and the "emphasis" is in some of them but not the others. Sometime, you can find the password before the actual event as well as Dave is invited to do so.

Beside, the focus must not be on the capitals ; some have, some don't. The strong link to the events is much more important.

So, Sergey, try your best to re-read and explore all the bads endings and use whatever translation tool you have at your disposal to understand the events of the story, then search what words or description of events will make Dave to have some kind of (odd?) reaction to it.

It usually a word that have big implication about the events that are occuring. You'll also mostly find out by observing Dave's reactions to some aspects of theses events. Not saying anything else :)

Yup, just like it's been said in the author previous announcements and some comments below :

The current build here is a Beta version and is over.

He's currently working on another project right now

Once that project is over, he's reworking the Beta entirely to deliver a better, final version of the story, planned and oriented for release to support such as the Switch.

And once THAT is done, he's doing Syndicate (PW2)

So we shouldn't expect anything about Syndicate before a few years.

I'd say more about dedication to something I like than eagerness. But well, I guess his lack of reply mean it will be kept for us then. A little too bad for the others readers, I suppose, but I'll stick to my words.

Thanks, but… Well, I guess I feel like I didn’t explained myself properly enough ^^’

So… Here’s the real, elaborated thing : I started this VN along with a friend, but his english level is a fairly bit under mine, so he sometime had some inconveniences to follow the reading with the lack of « , » and others things (as he kinda told me at least), which made him slowing down a bit ever further. Also, another might also take a look, but she have others stuff to take care of for now.

So, at some point, I suggested I would do some « polishing » while I’m reading it myself (as well as taking the opportunity to look at thoses plots contradictions on the fly, like in the Oz-Dave-MFD example mentionned above, but there’s some mor) so the three of us can enjoy the Beta version of the VN at a better level, since we don’t know how many years are left before your rewrite would be done.

I want to clarify : We’re not the streaming or playthrough type, and this polished version is and will remain strickly kept sure in a USB drive, so it would never leak no matter what, even if computer hacked. Also, I’m specifically talking about reading flow improvements and fixing the few occasionnal moment where the plot really contradict itself or doesn't add up with the previous choices and dialogs, and Nothing Else. No messing with any aspect of the story, N-o-n-e.

Sooooo… I guess the real meaning of my previous comment is : Since I’m already doing it for them (and myself)… Would you want me to hand it over to you, so you could decide after check if it's worth sharing to other readers over here, or do I just keep it for us ?

Again, I wish you wouldn’t be mad at the idea now you may have a better understanding of it, ‘cause I feared you’d think I’m messing with your story, but I’m Not! Hey, I read about the rewrite and stuff and how you see it as a failure currently, but are you sure we couldn't just make a "fixed" version of the Beta of your story while you're working on the revamped real deal yourself ?

By fixing, I mean from stuff like putting the " , " in sentences for better flow or correcting words when needed ("I think for now I think" for example) to stuff like making Oz not directly mentionning Dave on day 8 that he's the MFD since their identitie is one of the mysteries that bother Dave's mind the following days, as if he's never been told in the first place. Nothing further that thoses kinda things though.

Oh, and... please don't get mad if you don't like the idea, it just feel so much that this VN is so nice it may should deserve this even now, despite your rewrite coming in the future... It's like, even if a Spinel (Beta) is less precious than a Ruby (Rewrite), it still worth polishing to make it brighter and better, wouldn't you think ?

Unfortunatly, the autor just dropped the news 2 days ago that the enforced laws against foreign money (part of the troubles he was mentionning in his lastest devlog) just got worse, as now there might be a chance that he get reported in database because of the money he receive from Patreon.

Which obviously throw another wrench in his efforts.

Yet, he still haven't given up. Even if scarce, some of his comments there and there are hinting he's working on it (or at least resume working on it). And so does the others (like the lead composer who has release a new SN related soundtrack recently), so the project is still living no doubts despite all theses delaying, just in extended hiatus.

And he now would have to find a contermeasure for Patreon funding before releasing the build, on top of the rest.

So once again, patience and understanding of his situation are the keys.

The next is coming for patreon very soon from what I've heard. Sometime this month as it seems.

You probably guessed that I didn't bother to try back then since I was already persuaded of the April's fool, so when I figured there were not even a single video of playthrough when I searched on the net on top of the itch.io page being delisted, it only reinforced the feeling  -_-'

I mean, short, because I'm pretty sure nobody would naturally assume that one single person is doing all that much content with a regular basis of around half a year per case. Which is making it spectacular.

From what I've gathered, since the autor is working on it there and there like W-E and such, the schedule tend to be yearly, and last build was out in August, so probably a few months ahead left of waiting.

One thing's for sure, there has been a few changes in the heads listing above recently, so internally, there seems to be plenty of activity.

At least, since they released the sides stories not so long ago, it means it's still worked on.

There's multiples reasons why a VN can be delayed. Example, since it's the beginning of the "2nd part", maybe they needed a lot of news sprites and some designers got ill or something. Or vacations or others projects commissions and such.

The whole project seems stable enough so that you shouldn't have to worry this much ;-)

Storytelling awesome, dubbing is just soooo professionnal (special quote to Cassidy, Grace and Ulysses)

However... There's one thing tha's been bothering me a lot, and I'm not sure if it just me who overlooked something or if it really is the major plothole that it look like.

 Y'know, about the relation between the time when Diana enter the boiler room and the actual time of death, which make some others thing before and during the blackout doesn't add up ?

I mean, one of thoses, for example : Does it mean the story make it look like Wolfgang and Diana scuffle actually lasted for... What, 45 minutes or so ? When it looked like they, em... "discussed", only 5 (or even 10  at the very best) during Diana's flashback ? What did they do for this long between after Wolf tried to slash her (A bit after 8:45 am, so maybe something around 8:55 am at best after she tried to help him) and when he actually got shocked to death (At 9:35 am) ?

Sure give another dimension to Damon statement about an hour-long struggle to Grace ^^"

(And I'm not talking about other thing, like with her blood loss seeming off sometime, the "silence" she heard after Wolfgang death while she could have faintly heard the ruckus in the dining hall through the vent since the music was off, and stuff like that...)

It is. The author even released last month a side-story for patreon that has been voted a while ago and a new character sprite teaser.

Thing is, the author living in Georgia (country, not state) which is in political turmoil since summer, as specified in his lastest dev note, he didn't have always the state of mind to work on the VN thoses past months.

As of now, he said he wanted to release a larger build than usual to compensate, but it take time too.

Just be patient with him. Rather wait for a well written build at his own pace than push him at time when his heart was not into it.

You'll understand what he mean soon enough, in a later chapter

There used to have one NSFW scene back in the days, but it's been SFW'ed, so most certainly not gonna step backward.

The (few) explicit content in the previous builds was what initially prevented me from downloading the whole thing and instead resorted to watch youtube video for it, since they had to censor themselves the aforementionned part. 

It's nice to enjoy the story to it's fullest now :-)
