The game looks amazing! The topdown board game design is such a creative way to go about this topic. I was a little confused due to no tutorial at the beginning of the game to explain the rules, but after reading your summary and use of theme I understood enough to play the game a couple times through. A few times I became confused when the game wouldn't allow me to do anything because I was supposed to move one of the animals away from a disaster, but after I figured that out I was able to keep playing. The concept is super interesting and focusing on specifically the way animals are impacted by disasters and have to save themselves made a very intriguing game to play. All in all I think this is such a great game and a tutorial and some helpful tips would make it even better.
