(SPOILER AHEAD!!)

I read y'all answers to some and I'm bamboozled like

I was… fine? with the cannibalism, but the unhealthy beliefs about gender really threw me off 😒 I was honestly so shocked when I read the misogyny, I gaslit myself into thinking it was Lars instead /hj
So now I’m wondering—what exactly are those beliefs? Or at the very least, in what situations do they affect how he treats the MC?

Hi! Thank you for bringing that up. It’s actually one of the core dynamics of the game, so let’s dive into spoilers to answer properly.

VERY HIGH SPOILER

Unfortunately, it's not Lars 🥺 Soren is deeply influenced by his grandparents - especially his grandfather - whose upbringing instilled in him some very warped views about women. He tends to see them as delicate things to protect, keep, or even control, rather than as people with autonomy. In his eyes, MC is his woman, which justifies - at least to him - doing things “for her own good” without her knowledge or consent.
