I've tried to get into this game for so long now, but the controls are horrendous. Why shift, why alt, why modifier keys? Why 50 keys? How is Shift+Alt+E intuitive? How does that even come naturally to the user as a "precise place" command? Why not bind "G" to throw? Why do I have to press a number key twice to equip an item, while also making sure I'm not looking at an interactable object?

I do think you should absolutely be able to individually bind these controls to a single key, but I personally find the controls to be fairly convenient. I often find having all these separate keybinds for several common functions kind of cumbersome, so I like having a few main keys that have multiple functions via modifier keys.

Sure, that does make sense, but precise placing being Shift+Alt+R is quite mind boggling. Funnily enough, it's so obscure and weird that I did actually remember it Lol.

It honestly does kind of make sense to me after I thought about it a bit, Alt+R places the held object, so it being Shift+Alt+R for precision placement kind of makes sense.
