I adore Rozerîn, I cannot wait to see where the story goes with her. I'm also just generally in love with the entire story, I love the whole political system, I love the incorporation of magic, I love it all. Welat can die in a ditch though.
I had initially assumed that 'middle-eastern' meant Arabic (I am a dumb American, despite my best efforts), so I was pleasantly surprised to see that you in fact meant Kurdish. I know little of Kurdish culture and history, but I am absolutely interested in learning more (so if you have any recommendations of places to look for more I would love to hear them).

I love the inclusion of cuneiform when R's mental wards get eaten. I couldn't find anything conclusive on what the cuneiform translated as, but it nonetheless activated all of the history nerd in me.
