Let's trade feedback! I submitted a project too.
- Mechanics: You're onto something here! The key presses to summon turrets and use powers was super unexpected. It becomes about how fast you can combine keys to defend yourself! It's hard to keep up. I think the power-ups and think it's very consistent overall.
- Visuals: You used a huge variety of packs to build this. Nice creativity. I'm not sure what the yellow enemies are and the castle looks jumbled but there's at least some appeal in the cartoony combination of assets and enemies.
- Audio: Sounds are cool for the different abilities. Thanks for adding a warning to it, given the explosions.
Recommendations:
You need an intro-level. A safer first wave to let the player experiment with the different abilities and pacing. Expending energy felt worse when I didn't know what the powerup was in the first place. Many survival and shooter games have a safe first level so players can adjust to controls and test out the benefits of each ability.
