I wouldnt call them only Karen's, theyve been targeting games for years now over a decade actually.
its them and payment processors and technically the governments faults as well as multiple times now payment processors have been attacked for anything with adult related content and thats recent years its been ongoing since theyve existed.
Japan in general has been a major target for over a decade by payment processors and other countries.
I do not believe it is.. sadly.. it should be since this may as well be coercion etc..
Plus governments haven't helped either and there's further laws already being made targeting mainly just pron sites but could very quickly overlap to anything with adult themes.
There is a bill in the us for protecting all legal purchases which would help unless they choose to make certain things illegal..
Theres also the petitions to help and ive probably said much of this but also spamming the call centers and emailing payment processors.
Outside of that even if its illegal which for some countries its possible visa and Mastercard control a good bit of the world's transactions so there's that.. making you wonder why theyre even bending the knee if they have this level of power.

If one don't know what' going on, it's always about money :D. And we all know, who is after that money... it is always them. This site is about indie games, so when ppl but a game, they pay only those indie devs (and ofc some fee to itchio 'n banks, etc.), not to big corpo, game studios, and if it comes about nsfw games, it is less money to porn producers, aaand u know who are those producers? It's them again. For decades they are forcing n promoting pron to the world, but when they not profit from such creations like indie games, they trying to shut it.
