Itch Does Not Respect Its Community

I really enjoyed this platform, and the idea of this platform, as being a place for the indie community to support one another and grow. To roll over and just accept defeat from foreign pressure is abhorrent. It’s understandable that sometimes you have to lose a battle, but to do so so willingly and sheepishly? Absolutely disgusting and such a slap to the faces of everyone who has ever engaged on this platform. Do you not respect us, Itch?

Unless Itch gets involved in this fight, I won’t spend another dime on this platform, and I would encourage everyone to follow suit whether this directly impacts you or not. Censorship should not be tolerated, especially from a foreign country that’s imposing on the most fundamental right recognized in our Constitution.

I recommend reaching out to creators or checking their socials for ways to purchase directly from them for the time being. It isn’t easy or convenient, but just like the payment processors are betting on winning us over with convenience, so is Itch. It won’t take long before another platform comes along that respects its community.
