hey there's a really informed person here come check this chat out too.
I don't believe an entire shut down should be done. Yes it's terrible but there are still a lot of creators on here that rely on this site for income including NSFW creators that are not shadowbanned or deleted yet talking about how much they rely on sales on this site.
People have the right to be angry over this but we shouldn't jump the gun. It will only hurt more people if the site completely went down immediately right now. If we call for a site shut down right now we are practically no better then Itch taking down all these games out of the blue.
except that frees up a massive amount of people to build something better that won't be abusive untrustworthy and fold under the slightest pressure not to mention it's no longer about those people who rely on constant income from these sites anymore it's about us the consumers have been taking blow after blow for the creators for sites for companies who don't care who won't fight who will throw US under the bus at the first opportunity this is not jumping the gun this is the damn breaking and if people get hurt over that well sucks to be them it's too late to do this the right or the nice way we tried that it didn't work now we go to war.
