For a while, I had the rule set to "any were-animal" but forgot I wanted to change that until last minute to JUST werewolves/wolves. I cannot apologize enough: if you've been working on a story that had another were-animal and that's messed that up, please link it here when you've finished so I can support/share it in some way.

I feel terrible I forgot to change this until now: I was swamped and simply forgot it was a rule I had and wanted to change. (The reason for this change is that WEREWOLF is in the title of the jam and I wanted to stick more on theme, especially as I'm trying to curate a bundle around those types of stories for as many people to be in as possible.)

This is my first jam ever, so I expected some hiccups and hope this will be the only one we have. Thanks for your patience everyone!

ah then i will probably leave the jam then! my story does have a were-wolf in it, and she is the "main love interest" and very prominent, but the main character is a bear and not a wolf. i do wish that the rules had been updated before the jam started, since i told friends i'd be participating and so it'll be a little awkward next time they ask about it (not the worst thing tho! im not like really mad or anything like that just kinda let down and embarrassed).

again, I can't apologize enough. I have been swamped with preparing for my very first san diego comic con (i am behind my booth right now) and just slipped my mind

But also it sounds like your story still has a werewolf character in it?? Or am I wrong?? If she is part of the romance than the story is more than welcome. If the MC had to be a werewolf only the jam would be WAY more limiting esp when folks usually pair the werewolves with humans haha

like i said, i'm not mad and i totally understand (i haven't been online very much lately but last time i saw your posts on bluesky i could see you were swamped and going through a lot of hardships)!

and while she is a werewolf and the story is heavily centered on her being a werewolf, i don't think i would have joined the jam had the faq about other were-like-creatures been written as it is now. i feel like i have overstepped a boundary or rule and have shoe horned my way into something i wasn't suppose to be apart of, which is what i wanted to avoid by asking the question in the first place. i explained my feelings not to make you feel bad or anything like that, i just felt kinda sad because before the rule change i was really pumped and excited to be apart of this is all. sometimes things don't work out and thats okay and its okay to be sad too. i accepted your apology the moment i was done reading the initial post, mistakes happen especially when you are busy and the world is falling apart! and i apology for not being a little clearer on that initially.

all that said, now it sucks that this whole jam and bundle might be up in smoke! i really hope this jam stays up and that people are still able to post their work. and i hope that you and whoever else who was going to submit for the bundle can still find a way to make and sell it.

sorry this post is so long, if you don't read or never respond i won't take it personally! i just hope we can all keep making and sharing art together

I hope we can continue the jam and bundle too, but things are very unclear right now. Werewolf stuff is some of the first monster fucking stuff to get censored and I worry that folks making new werewolf content might get their entire accounts banned. I'm STILL working fucking SDCC (this thing is a marathon) and won't be able to make a decision either way until I get home.

If anything, the jam is likely to stay up but the bundle may be canceled due to the exposure it requires participants to put on the sale. Plus, a lot of people are boycotting itchio right now because they are blaming them, not the payment processors, for the changes. So, might be tough to get sales at all.

In light of the itchio nsfw shadowban, is this going to effect the jam at all? I hope not, I'm still working on mine.

No idea. I'm keeping up the jam for now but only time will tell on what itchio does to us or our submissions. We could be wiped off the platform entirely or be left alone or somewhere in the middle. I cannot predict at all what is most likely to happen. Wish I could give you more but I just don't have more.

No worries, yeah guess everyone is very unclear at the moment. Hopefully we'll be able to get our Sexy Werewolf bundle though!

I hope so too, but might not even be able to finish my own submission for that and therefore, the bundle is in limbo. It sucks.

Edit: for context, comics are my full time gig and if I can't get paid for my comics, I can't afford the time to put together a bundle or make something for a jam :[
