Below is my feedback. I submitted too.

  • Visuals: Great style and use of the Tiny Dungeon pack. Consistent menu, layout, map and use of enemies.
  • Mechanics: Simple shooting mechanic overall. Not mind-blowing but there's plenty room for new weapons, enemy types and maybe even environmental hazards you can activate to protect yourself.

Room for improvement:

  1. Game slows when there are a crowd of enemies. Frame rate drops. Best to adjust performance scripts.
  2. Add more unlocks or roguelike elements so I can throw bigger spears, fireballs, spells or energy waves. The weapon progression could use some attention.
  3. Perhaps have the princess help in some way. Where on every 3rd spear you throw, she throws a rock or something, for like just 5dmg. Give purpose to other characters we see, instead of just being scenery.
  4. The requirement to be precise should come with 5% forgiveness or breathing room. It's been many times where the skinniness of the spear missed by 1 pixel. It's a odd feeling. Many games fix this with breathing room, like how Mario jumping toward a platform has some sliding space breathing room to, if player is off by 1 to 2 pixels.
