Very ambitious game, it's impressive how much you've packed into a page! Love the setting and I think it would play great, just few bits of feedback from me:
- The solarleaf regaining Root as they spend a turn doing nothing makes sense thematically but would not be very fun for the player. Maybe consider giving them an objective they need to accomplish in order to regain Root? (i.e. whenever you put your life in danger for a friend regain Root or something like that)
- There seems to be nothing in the rules regarding combat and in your example you have multiple rounds. I'd be tempted to leave combat as any other conflict- resolved with a single roll from each participant and see what the consequences are. It just means you don't get bogged down in rounds of combat but on the other hand it will probably mean less drained resources as well. - It's advised to have the legendary events be randomized but each costs different amounts of Bloom so it would be good for the players to know what they'd be doing before committing their resources to it. - I figured that the game ends with The Final Bloom legendary event but would be great to have that explained in the Bloom section, as at the moment it's a bit unclear how exactly you win the game.
