The whole format of this is great and if you expand this I hope you keep the "one boss" idea. For this to have an adventure mode I would want it to be a game with only bosses and they all take a while to beat. The corruption is really interesting because it lets you take on a penalty in return for a payoff but I haven't been able to make any big swings with it yet. The only problem this has is something that I have seen in a lot of entries and that's the gameplay being too fast.

I actually like that it's intense right off the bat and the boss isn't taking it easy on you no matter how weak you are. The feeling of power is very strong in this and I think that's part of it. What I mean is that the character and projectiles all move too fast. The jump for example should have the jump velocity and gravity both reduced so the jump is the same height but there's much more air time. It would allow for more precision when weaving around projectiles. 

You know, after thinking about it, you have a point about difficulty, maybe later when the boss life drops after a certain threshold he gets a little harder with more projectiles and "patterns", and the game feel is on my list of things to improve, fluid gameplay is a must for this game, and thanks for the feedback about the speed, appreciate it. Also i guess no one notices the boss text lines that change after each death with the intense fight lol.
