At first I thought you were explaining too much, (sometimes you gotta let the player find out things forhimself), but it seems this is like some sort of metagame. In fact most of the game seems kind of meta in different ways which makes it kind of hard to give feedback because anything can be part of the "joke".
It was interesting to see the conversation after I died the first time, it reminded me what some experimental flash games did a while back. Maybe the second time the player dies it should be possible to skip the text or go faster because it takes too long. I mean, The idea requires the player to explore a bit, but exploring kind of punish him at the same time, I hope this makes sense.
