in every other visual novel i have done, the choices matter. i have replayed this one several times and always take a different route but it always ends up the same. i am not sure how many routes there are, but having played through 6 times and tried six different routes, i still manage to get the same result. the only option that has given a slightly different result was in the back yard with Ashley, ignoring her advances made her less interested during the following episode but after that, it started playing out exactly the same again.
you won't drive into another town if you mean that kind of difference in routes or whatever. You have your story and can collect points and I believe I remember you can make some differences.
Anyway not sure if the discussion makes sense unless they revive the game soon.
