Hey thanks for your comment! It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed it this much. Id love to hear the theories you have because there is definitely a hidden story. At least there is one in my head
They aren't really theories, I just looked at other pieces of media and pointed the differences. In the last ending, the game quotes a book called "The accursed share", which talks about the author's theory that, any system (in this case the economy), that gains energy, must "waste" that energy to survive. It's kinda like how when your inflating a balloon you can stop inflating or keep inflating, If you stop, the balloon will deflate, if you continue the balloon will pop. Either way the balloon loses energy. In cruelty squad, everyone is immortal and rich, nobody ever dares to "waste" their energy, which is why living is so shit. In ending 1, MT tries to fix the world by killing abraxas, making everyone immortal and introducing more LIFE to the world, which obviously changes nothing. In ending 2, MT tries to fix his own life by becoming rich and acquiring wealth, which he does so by killing and becoming the ceo of Cruelty Squad, basically making him a god. This doesn't help either. In ending 3, MT tries to fix the world by ending it. Now that he is basically a god, he re-introduces death to the world which finally let's it waste energy. In other words : ending 1 is the worst ending, ending 2 is the worse ending, and ending 3 is the bad ending.\\\
But that's just a theory, a CRIMSONEART theory !!!
