Thank you for the review! Yeah we struggled to make a smooth combat system and ran into multiple issues. One thing that we did not clear up is that there is a "block" and a "parry". The riposte is only enabled after a parry, which happens if you block at the last second before an attack hits. Then after a parry, you have a short window to do a riposte.
