It really doesn't, and no I wouldn't feel any better doing the art myself - instead it'd have wasted time on making the art - not the thing I want to be spending my time on. Sorry you feel this way - the future is gonna be rough for you.
If you aren't interested in art, there are plenty of artists on the jam's discord, you could always form a team. AI does steal from artists, there's no other way to put it.
