It was honestly really intriguing to me to hear of your perspective! It's true that to many people this kind of thing is probably more something that their parents or grandparents did, and perhaps they're not faced directly with the thoughts of having to go through the same. I think it's still super important to see stories from a perspective like yours, though, as I find it really interesting too and I'm sure it connects to the experiences of many!
In my case, it's like I know both sides, in some way. While I don't know in depth the sacrifices of my grandparents and great grandparents who had to move here, dealing with these sorts of feelings myself due the constant conversations of leaving the country does give me an idea. I imagine it must have been much different, given the contexts they lived in in comparison to mine, and yet there's something there, I feel. Just like Agustín said, it feels a bit ironic to me how I may have to leave the place my ancestors came to seeking a better life.
