Hello! I ran an hour of testing on your game!

I've done QA for games like The Sims and Gears of War!

Any further testing with screenshots and all. Feel free to hit me up on fiverr!

https://www.fiverr.com/s/42pVxQm

Usually I'd write bugs and stuff in a doc or a bug tracking software, so hopefully this is legible and useful!

Notes:

- I like the visuals and sounds of the game. It's very cozy!

- Love the idea of having it have a strict time limit. Makes it more interesting to see how far you can get before you run out of time!

Bugs:

- White outlines on the buttons on the main menu screen

- When I pressed the home button in game I lost all my progress

- I am confused on what the leaf packaging does on the top left and when I can click it or not. I was able to press it once, but not sure what it did.

- Right after I started the game, I pressed the  "+" button with the leaf. I am no longer able to buy plants

- When clock hits single digits in seconds, it's not padding it with a zero in front. i.e. 4:1 instead of 4:01

- Button hovers are inconsistent across game. Menu has some hover effect, whereas in game

--> the "+" button (does nothing)

--> The clock button (shows hover text)

--> the crop button (before you buy plants) (has no effect)

--> the crop upgrade button (after you buy plants) (has a slight hover)

- When asked to prompt your name. You can click Top scores and the top scores and name prompt overlap

Feedback:

- Pocket farm title text is about the same size as the buttons

- Main menu Button hover colors can use a bit more contrast.

- Top scores when empty could mention they are empty. Or you can prepopulate with easy scores to surpass.

- When getting a new high score. Perhaps give the player an explicit message saying they beat a high score or placed in the scoreboard

- I think more feedback can be used when you are about to purchase the plant. Maybe saying "Purchase" or when you don't have enough, you can say something like "cant afford"

- Noticed after I press the home button I can enter my name, but if I start the game fresh, I cannot enter my name before going into game (however. I later found out, that this is the leaderboard)

- When I hover over over the time button. it says 1000 coins, but could use more info on what it gives. I'd assume it's more time. (confirmed this is the case)

- No SFX sound when clicking on the clock button when you purchased it

- There is no indicator or prior messaging on what happens when the timer hits 0.

- Purchase sound is still made when you can't afford the purchase and clicked.

- When entering your name into the score board. Might be good to have more feedback. Like saying "press enter" to submit. so you can see the leaderboard after.

Suggestions:

- Could be neat to have a day / night cycle to have more visual interest

- Could be neat to have more info on what the different plants do

- Could be neat to have incremental progression in the game

--> Maybe you have an internal farmer level, or if you farm a crop upto a certain level you can unlock more crops to harvest.

--> Could also unlock passives that increase crop yield or crop growth speed

--> Maybe you can unlock farm cosmetics as you play more. (Either changing the farm entirely -- or adding props onto your farm to make it your own)

Hi there!
Thank you so much for taking the time to test Pocket Farm and leave such thorough feedback — I really appreciate it!
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the cozy visuals and sound, and I’m glad the time limit added a sense of challenge. Your detailed notes — from bugs to suggestions — were incredibly helpful. I wouldn’t have caught some of those without your input.
Just wanted to let you know that I’m currently working on an update that addresses several of the issues you mentioned. Hopefully, it’ll improve the overall feel and clarity of the game.
Your ideas for future content — like a progression system, unlockables, or a day/night cycle — are really inspiring.
Thanks again for the time and care you put into this.
All the best — and again, thank you!

Glad my report helped you out! Good luck on your future updates!
