Unless it is a military car that is designed against biological, chemical, and nuclear attack, I don't think an electric car would fare much better. Not to mention that an electric car is still rare globally, at around 10 percent, according to statistics.
But from what is established by them driving that truck is that any car is fine as long as it doesn't take in air, "close the vents". This is why when floods happen, electric cars usually drive around fine. And i think nowadays, especially in cities, they're way more common.
