Probably busy with other stuff for a couple of months. Haven’t thought of an update for this yet since I don’t know what to add honestly, kinda used all my ideas on the current item choices. What would you like to see? More items? Changes/additions to the gameplay? More lewd stuff/scenes?
I would love to make a bigger update to make a major release devlog and make public to get some new eyes on this. I really am fond of this game, but I just don’t know what to update.
I think the game needs to get some new animations and maybe costumes/basic customisation. New upgrades that can make projectiles act differently (like projectiles with homing, multi shot, maybe something that explodes). And some QoL changes like description what every item does. I really liked this game, mainly because it reminds me of Vampire Survivors + animation and art is great.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah those are great ideas. Maybe not doing costumes though, might get a bit complex with the color changing and item additions. Or if I add clothing, they are probably going to be from items. Explosive shots will be really powerful I think, so might need some rebalance. Homing shot sounds great. A new animation would be a lot of work, but I think that’d make it a major patch. Maybe a pose on all fours, needs to be sideshot because of the transparency and tentacle.
Funnily enough I don’t think I’ve played any survivors game ahah, maybe I’ll try one and see if get some more ideas. Really happy this game has a fan hehe, my first published project. I even updated this couple of times adding items and prettying it up. I’ll see if I get back to this after the longer jam next month ends.
Sorry to disappoint, working on a sequel for the voodoo game since it got the most views by far across all my games. Also had to take a bit of a break, but I’m getting some progress artwise. Haven’t started coding or anything so I’ll consider if I’ll take a look at this first. But I don’t want to rush anything out just for the sake of an update, I like how this plays at the moment and adding a lot of items will need some balancing.
Thanks for checking, haven’t forgotten, it’s just that the voodoo game ended up very popular and I’ve been running a bit low on creativity lately. Glad you liked the other games too, but tbh I still think this one is one of my best hehe.
