I believe I answered a very similar question on Patreon, so you might be the same person—but I’ll go ahead and explain here as well!
Options like "Ordinary Conversation," "Return," "Normal Conversation," and "Casual Conversation" slightly increase a character’s trust level. Depending on the trust level, the dialogue and facial expressions may change slightly, but these interactions don’t have a major impact on story progression.
If it feels like a route is blocked or stalled, progressing to the next floor often unlocks new events or choices.
As for the player's corruption level, it generally only affects whether or not you can access certain choices, and this is planned to apply only to main quest events (with the exception of Warren’s corruption route). We originally considered having things like lust, corruption, or trust play a bigger role in unlocking routes, but it turned out to be unnecessarily complicated in practice.
So as it stands now, as long as you make the right choices, your protagonist's stats won’t prevent you from progressing a character’s romance or corruption route.
(Again, Warren’s corruption route is the exception—you’ll need at least 20 corruption, and in return you’ll get to see a rather submissive side of him.)
If you’re ever unsure about your route progress, keep a close eye on the management note!
