Hi, nice of you to reply!
We currently have 5 people loosely committing to sound design but the way we are doing this there will probably always be work to be done in any category. We are still in the pre-planning phase and will probably pick the concrete game/genre to work in a few days.
Depending on how many visual and audio artists we have we'll likely add more features / rely more heavily on those respective categories while finalizing the feature list of the game. So everybody who volunteers for work will have something to do.
And of course, everybody who wants to will be credited accordingly. It's gonna be an open-source project by the way, in the spirit of the GodotEngine we are using.
You can hop on our Discord if you like and see what we have done so far. You don't have to commit to anything or talk to anyone even. And if you have any questions, see potential issues or just general feedback that's also very much appreciated.
If you for some reason don't feel comfortable joining our Server I will of course answer all your follow-up questions here, but being part of the Discord Server is pretty much a requirement eventually for coordination purposes. Although we have this Game Jam site and also going to have a GitHub repository for the game, our server has the best structure for effective collaboration.
This community is literally just 3 days old and constantly growing and there will be updates each day and everyone has a say in how we're going forward. It's very exciting, if I do say so myself, and may even make some waves in the GameDev community if successful, because something like this hasn't really been done before.
