I did have the tiles tilled before the patch.
I did have things planted before (in the previous versions).
I can water and dig them. That was what I did to solve the problem actually. I used the shovel on the same spot 3 times I think and now I can plant. Sorry I hadn't check that before I wrote the comment.
About the stacks no rush. It was just a thought.

Thanks for the information, it’s always appreciated. Based on the stories I’m hearing it seems that recent patches may have left some weirdness behind in terms of crops. I literally just changed the backend of the crop system again to fix something else so the next patch will be different yet again, but hopefully less prone to these sorts of errors.
As for the stacking thing, no worries, it’s something I need to mess with sooner rather than later.
