Any plans of rebalance combat model and more specify the hit response? I mean it feels like knockdowns are far too often in this game. Esspecialy enemies feels like they don't have combos because almost always they kncockdown Onyx at first, max at second hit.

It also seems like the game overuse the i-frames.

Yeah Onyx is being knocked down too often.  It's a leftover constant from the very early combat system.  Regarding i-frames, do you mean for Onyx or enemies?  Some enemies do have an evade mechanic that I'd like to give better feedback on via a popup.  Onyx's dodge is pretty overpowered also, as Stamina likely recovers too fast.
