The Final Expedition — Hunt Aliens, Avoid Mutants & Exotic Wildlife Across 6 Biomes

Hey everyone!

I just released my first indie horror game — The Final Expedition.

You play as an expeditionary hired by a private research company. Your missions are based on vague eyewitness reports of strange creatures seen across multiple biomes — forests, jungles, mountains, swamps, and more.
The twist? Some are aliens. Some are mutants that look like aliens. You only get cryptic clues like “glowing eyes” or “horns,” and you have to figure out which target is real — or risk getting killed.

Every specimen you capture helps scientists understand the threat. You get blaster charges that work only on aliens — not mutants. Make the wrong choice, and it can be fatal.
There’s also a hunter’s shack where you can sell mutant hides in exchange for supplies — water, food, machetes, traps, flashlights, and more.

I developed the entire game solo — from code and design to music and art — on a weak laptop.
Let me know what you think, and feel free to support it if you enjoy the vibe.

After playing this game for a few hours, I can say that it's really interesting, makes you feel like you really are in some kind of expedition, exploring new animal and alien species. The creatures have unique design, which I haven't seen anywhere. The locations also look good, making exploration even more breathtaking. Would recommend this game to everyone!

I really appreciate your words! It means a lot to me as a solo dev.
I'm working on polishing things further and maybe adding more alien types soon 👀

I love how the game throws you into the unknown and just tells you “go find it.” No map markers, no easy clues — you actually feel like you're on a dangerous expedition.

The atmosphere in the mountain area was incredible, and the alien designs are super creative. This is something special.

Love that you’re forced to guess — no handholding.

interesting idea, after downloading and playing for a few minutes I realized the atmosphere is creepy and the monster models are even

This actually sounds pretty dope. The whole idea of figuring out if it's an alien or just a mutant sounds tense in a good way. I like that there's actual risk if you mess up. Also cool that you made it solo — respect for that. I’ll definitely give it a shot.

I didn't get bored, even during the demo. First of all, I really liked the design of the doctor and the hunter. Secondly, the nighttime atmosphere is great — it’s well conveyed in the forest setting. One piece of advice: try to avoid using bulky gorillas.
