I've been reviewing your games for a few jams now, I'm glad to see a familiar name again!
The concept is interesting and reminiscent of Interstellar with the time dilation, but I feel like in this instance, gameplay and story get in the way of each other a bit.
If the little dialogues came as a reward for progressing with the garden, it would create a sense of progression and give me a reason to care for it. That would also align well with the theme: tending the garden might seem insignificant, but it leads to introspection and dialogue with the AI, which actually has value in itself.
I hope this makes sense. It's a cool concept that got me thinking about story-driven experiences
