i genuinely do not see how to avoid forcing rei to prostitute, repairing the cycle costs rei an evening without working -50 costs you -245 for the bike and parts, not working at the casino for both races costs 60 for you and 100 for rei twice, so -320 + one night just to challenge the second driver so -480, the first race only gets you 100 and the second gets 500

and thats not counting the puddings required to keep your energy levels high enough for the race
that being said, the casino is only supposed to be available at level 3, but for some reason unlocks at level 1 automatically, so supposing you get the bike, get it repaired, and spend all three extra nighte before being able to get level 1, then you only gain 205, but i can get level 1 within two days, without sacraficing work. and two nights is -240....
