This game felt like it has a lot of heart. i think i liked it? i think.
The good: Your opening image and the accompanying text crawl bought me a lot of goodwill. They served very well to get me invested in the game early. Then, your first few tutorial levels were stellar, and taught me very well. The music was unintrusive, and the environment art was functional. If the game was a tech demo of just the first few tutorial bits, i think i'd be a lot more positive.
The bad: Anything movable looked kinda scuffed. The character and the box both looked kinda,,, idk, cheap? im not sure if thats the right word, and i dont know what the right word is. i just think they let the game down a fair bit.
My quit moment was The level where i had to chain rewinds together, i got softlocked in a room and quit. The rewind mechanic seems way too finnicky for puzzles of that size because completing that level seemed to require *lot* of waiting around (but not too much or else you softlock and have to wait again!).
this *genuinely* upset me. I was loving your game up until that point, only to be met with what seemed like a colossal test of patience. but not too much patience, or else you get softlocked in a room and have to be patient all over again! ugh im still mad at that fucking level. sorry.
i drew a graph to explain how i felt. Importantly, the fact that your game evoked such strong emotions from me means a lot: if i didnt care, or just didnt like your game, i wouldnt feel anything about it. i only feel strongly because your game whiplashed me from really high levels of enjoyment to really low levels
