This was so fun from start to finish!
My favorite aspect of the game is definitely the characters, and particularly the dynamic between Oz and Fawna. They play off each other so well (no matter what choices you make as Fawna), and their banter is wonderfully entertaining to read. Despite his dubious morality, Oz is a really adorable love interest, with his love for baking and his brash but unexpectedly earnest demeanor (I really like the "father-son" dynamic he has with Arthur). I esp love Fawna as a protagonist - she's relatable in her "everywoman just trying to get through the day" ways, but she's also really clever and spunky. I also love how she consistently drives the plot forward; she's really an active participant in a story where another MC might have just been dragged along.
This really is a labor of love, and it shows in the quality of the production. One thing that really amazed me was the little details put into the backgrounds - all of the little Easter eggs make each one like a little scavenger hunt. From the Detective Pikachu/Conan/Ace Attorney references in Fawna's bedroom as well as the dev's owl mascot, as well as the Potion Pleasing/Ace Attorney/Apothecary Diaries plushies in her living room, and the Petrichor poster in Oz's bedroom... The sprites (and CGs) are all really gorgeous too, with fantastic expressions (Oz's are my favorite)!
The plot is really intriguing, and I'm very interested to see where it goes from here - and, in particular, how Fawna's choices will play into the endings (I played absolutely infuriated, explosive, slightly deranged Fawna on my first playthrough, and much more reasonable and level-headed Fawna on my second). Ngl, I am looking forward to Bonnie and Clyding it up LOL
This was a treat, fantastic work!
