Is "At Your Feet" made using Ren'Py ?
I have to say that this game is really good. I completed it entirely. The story and situations are well-written, and the designs are nicely crafted. The biggest surprise for me was Natalie, because at first, I wasn’t that interested in her, but she was actually the first character I started with. When I began her story, I was very surprised by where it led, and now she’s my favorite choice. Of course, I don’t want to spoil anything, but what Natalie did at the concert felt like a very beautiful moment to me — it was well thought out.
The day after finishing the game, I don’t really know why, but I felt kind of sad. I’m going through a difficult period right now; everything is changing, and mentally, I’m not in the best place. The game brought out stronger emotions in me because I saw those changes within the game — how life changes, how people there become successful or more successful. And right now, I don’t feel very successful myself, and the way the world is changing, that change in general, makes me feel uneasy. In that moment, I didn’t feel very happy — more just a little sad.
But it was exactly because of that sadness that I listened again, after a long time, to the words of a person:
"Everyone who goes through pain wishes things were different. But that’s not something we can choose. The only thing we can decide is what we do with the time we’ve been given."
And now those words mean more to me than they ever did before. I’ve made the decision to truly listen to those words again — they brought me a kind of peace I’ve been missing for some time. The game you created, the world you built, helped me reach a point where I can once again look at life simply as life — something I live in, not something I have to turn into a place that troubles me.
I apologize if I’m being a bit too open, I just wanted to express that your game gave me more than just entertainment. I wish you much success with the projects you’re working on. :)
