really liked the art style in the game, cool as hell! kinda inspired me to try making a short game, too
also, i was wondering what was the process behind making the city map. did you use photo textures or you handpainted it? maybe there is some specific tool? any insight would mean a lot to me

Thank you!! Good luck with your own game, hope it goes well :D I made the city map by using Photos yes. Mostly ones I took myself in tokyo but also some freestock pictures. I cut out the parts that I needed and then transformed them to fit the perspective. Then I applied some textures and gradient maps to unify everything, imported it into aseprite, limited the colorpalette and halfed the resolution to fit the character sprite.
