Very nice usage of 8 bit graphics along with the chiptune audio, I really like how the game is presented. What would have made it better would have been to change the default windowskin and font to something a little more pixelated, it kind of clashed with the visual aesthetic you were going for, especially in a text heavy game like this.
Speaking of text, although I loved the visuals, your writing was my favourite part. It was really very nicely constructed and draws the player into the world; almost effortlessly I find.
Combat was simple and yet effective, also there was a good and interesting variety of enemies. Grinding is not really necessary; getting a little stuck on the puzzles and going through trial and error situations where the enemies respawned organically made my character level up quite nicely. By game end Anna was walking around the theatre jacked up like the Hulkster and it was nice not to have to grind.
All in all really good job and a fun game.
