Just to clarify, the custom characters are only for playable characters and not NPCs. Though it would be cool if a 9th NPC was a customizable NPC who also moves into Silverpine and you can write their backstory for the AI to play out.

From casually playin, there are 8 AI NPCs and 4 are female: Oriana, Celandine, Rosalyn, and Mirel. Rosalyn is an herbalist in Silverpine you'll likely see her walking around at some point.  Mirel on the other hand is not so obvious. I didn't know she existed until my 4th night when I just happened to see her by the market stall just before midnight. On her days off, she'll come into town and stay the night at Gareth's inn.

As far as I know there's only Silverpine as a town you can explore, plus a few dungeons in the area. There is some lore for a capital to the east called Thalassar. At the moment, it isn't accessible, so ignore any invitations or requests to go there to visit, fetch, or deliver anything.

Hey thanks, you just answered the questions at had in mind. I just need to find Mirel, I never catch her, all people say midnight but it looks like she is BEFORE midnight. When are her days off? I still cannot track time properly, lol.

And about the capital, what a shame but it's understandable considered this game is more  of a proof of concept than a full fledged game. It's still fun as fun to play though.

I will try in the future to get a better videocard to play this without the online server and I alsoeneed to learn more about LLMs.

Yeah, a come mistake. I told myself midnight at first, also. Mirel arrives while it's still 11pm, then leaves at midnight. I never bothered to learn her schedule since I was too busy wooing the other 3 girls at the same time like a proper degenerate. I think I remember seeing her at Gareth's a day off after I found her, so my assumption is every 5 days, but it could be something else.

I found her at the market stall at 10pm more or less. I was able to "convince" her to follow me to Rosalyn's house and they I took the time to increase to the max her "attraction" bar.

It was worth it. Technically I thin I can marry the four girls but I have to trick the LLM to remember it or something, lol.

The only times I brought up marriage was to Oriana, to see how far she and the game would go in terms of relationship, and how it would handle Monogamy/Polygamy. She didn't want to be restrained by things like "marriage", but later forgot or changed her mind after I made a passing comment about "would marry her if she wasn't so against it" and she randomly decided to start calling me husband.

Which leads to the rub. At the moment NPC's memory seems kind of... limited.

If you talk to any NPC enough, eventually their memories of your first conversations and even the long term memories you had with them will get flushed out over time with newer stuff. At least it seems that way from the NPC Memories export and gameplay.

In the long run, things like marriage will be forgotten. Unless you remind them with a new long term memory periodically before they forget the first relevant memory. It should be possible that way, but it's a bit too high maintenance to keep track of and curate specific memories for a NPC, much less 4 NPCs.

It seems NPC can see what's in your inventory, as they once in a while will point out something I'm wearing or holding. Which has got me thinking... You can get items with odd or weird names if you ask the right people in the right way/narrative situation. Maybe you can use such an item as a form of memory.  Like getting a ring named, "(NPC name)'s & (player name)'s Marriage Ring", that way when that NPC scans your inventory, they have something that implies they're married to you every time you talk to them. That's just an idea I came up with.

Interesting, it could be done. I "tricked" all the girls in the game to give me money. I literally don't have to do anything to have money, and you can also ask Garreth the tarvern owner to give you free food, the wells have free water, so I want to see how much money I can take from my "wives", lol.

I still don't understand how LLMs work, if you want to run it locally, all the data will be on your PC? does it work like that?

The marriage ring is worth nothing, also, if you have the relationship bar very high, I was able to convince each girl with polygamy but most of the time it ends with a "we will talk about it later". I even convinced Oriana telling her she will be the main wife or something like that.

Even with its limitation, this game is so funny and silly sometimes.

Huh, I never considered trying to be a gold digger. At most I'd ask for breakfast and dinner instead of buying food after I got my shed for free from Gareth. I needed a ton of gold for extending the shed into a real house. If you build your own house, do it out of stone. It's way easier to get the rocks need to build and way cheaper than buying a bunch of nails and boards.

I'm not entirely sure I'm right, but rom what I've seen from playing without connecting to the server, the model you choose needs to be downloaded first so it can be run on the application locally. I think the framework for making models is named NeMo. (Also the name of the first selectable character.) But the original model you can download is called Kobold. (Which is the race of that same character. Very on the nose dev.) You'll have to look in your settings in game to select if you want to use the server or select a model, then you can download it. It will tell you how much gb of vram you'll need depending on which model.

Do you mean the marriage ring idea is worth noting or the idea is worth nothing? so I know equipped items can be seen by NPC. Oriana used to glare at me when I talked to her with a sword still equipped and others comment on wet clothing. I think it might work to at least get an npc to ask about it.

I also usually got that response of, "talk about it later" as well. It's the same with having  children. I know you can't, but I wanted to see how Oriana reacted. She actually blushed and said she'd strongly consider it, and to talk about it later. Which wasn't a no.

Definitely had several funny moments. The funniest being when Oriana just started calling me husband and how Celandine found out. It was during an... intimate session and Oriana told Celandine to do something lewd to my character, but used "...your brother in law..." instead of the character's name, which made me nearly spit my drink out. Celandine response was a short and confused, "My WHAT?"
That moment had me laughing for a good minute. She had a very reasonable response, but like.. she's already doing it with her sister. Brother in law is where she draws the line?

The marriage ring idea is worth trying. I want to make my harem but I haven't had too much time to play the game. I guess you can "trick" the characters to sleep with them without problems, easier if you have their love bar very high. It's indeed a very fun game, lol.

I also went in playing my first file with the same goal of assembling a harem. I guess I can say I've succeeded. I've maxed out all 4 girls relationships a few months ago. I guess I just need a big get together night and watch the drama unfold as the 4 NPCs talk to each other and I get swept away in whatever nonsense they come up with.

You don't need any tricks to get them to sleep with you, early on. I got my first character laid three times on the 1st in-game day between Celandine and Rosalyn and I wasn't even aiming for that. I just wanted to increase their relationship bar to get a good start with them, so a bit so I talked to them a lot and it kind of just happened. In retrospect it's kind of hard for it to not happen. Celandine will throw herself at you. Rosalyn just wants some company and dinner before she's game. Mirel is almost as promiscuous as Celandine, but drinking with her before hand is a good way to get her interested. Oriana is the only one of the 4 who was difficult for me to win over, but I also accidentally made her mad at me near the beginning which basically reset her relationship bar. Thankfully, I found out something she likes also on accident. That really helped win her over.  She's fun to have around, especially with Celandine. I love their banter.

I made Oriana fall to me by using her sister (with had her relationship bar completely high). It was easy at that point and it went to weird places after you have both girls maxed. I hope the dev makes a new update and add more girls or a new town.
