you should totally do a deluxe version of this game too!

At the moment I'm too busy working on other games. But I might work together with someone else to get this game fully developed in the future 😊

Can I be the someone??

No, there are already a couple of potential candidates.

Oh…….. ok

😓😓😭😭😭

What's wrong?

Nothing really but I was a bit sad when u said no😅

Let me be completely honest: I really appreciate your enthusiasm for my games. And I would love to have someone who can pick up the games I started making and finish them. But I don't think you could be that person at this point in time.

And here is why: I don't see any published games on your creator page. So, I assume, that you have not developed or at least not released any games of your own.

I don't have the time to finish making this game. That means I also wouldn't have the time to teach someone else how to finish making it. I would need someone who I can trust to have enough experience to figure out most of the things on their own.

Also, the hard part about making games is not building a game. It's continuing to work on a game once it's kind of finished, spending weeks if not months fixing bugs. That's not a lot of fun. So, having released some polished games would also proof to me that a person has the dedication to push through the not-so-fun part of game development and not jump ship halfway through.

You are still very young. You are learning things extremely quickly at this age. If game development is something you want to pursue, just go for it. You don't need me or anyone else to start making games. Most game devs don't start so young. So, you would have a nice head start.

GB Studio and a graphic program (I use Aseprite) is all you need to start making games that are compatible with the Game Boy Color. There are great tutorial videos on YouTube and the GB Studio Discord server is incredibly friendly and helpful. Pretty much any question you could possible have has already been asked there. So, you can find pretty much all information just by using the built-in search.

Once you know the basics, join a couple of game jams and you will get feedback on what you could still improve about your games. And maybe we'll work together on a project in the future. But that should not be your goal. Just enjoy creating games and getting better at it. If you don't enjoy it, you shouldn't spend your free time doing it.

Anyways, I hope this helps you get started 😊

Thanks

But I’m fine
