- I was quite blown away by this. I couldn't stop reading. You all got me there in the beginning then at the end. I hope many get a chance to try this out. Even if they just read it, it felt like reading a novel as well.
- The concept of the game is really interesting, and the metanarrative is brilliant. I had never seen a TT game manual hide such a story before. The art and format of every page are crafted with incredible care. The story is super intriguing and had me hooked from page one. This is a work of art.
- This game is an astounding piece of work! It is clear that a lot of time and care has gone into the creation of this, and it seems to occupy a space between a TTRPG and an analogue interactive novel. Working through the sourcebook, I found there to be an amazing amount of worldbuilding, paired up with a meta-narrative between Sarah and Charlotte and how these intertwined. I also appreciated the visual guides given in the document, making me feel more secure in how this game is to be interacted with and played, along with the fact that playthroughs have been workshopped. The aesthetics of this game are haunting, really making apparent the themes of self and the body apparent while also rooting them in the tradition of gothicism. This is then paired with email entries and digitally rendered art, playing with the idea of existence in both physical and digital spaces (at least in my opinion). My only concern with this game is that I think it might need an edit at this point. The clearly plays with the TTRPG format while also presenting a densely packed meta-narrative that seems to be a simultaneous, yet separate, experience (something which I wonder if only the dungeon master gets to experience) . Because of this complexity, I think it is worth asking an editor where things could be simplified or emphasised in order to ensure a cohesive experience of your vision. For the purposes of this jam though, this is by far the best submission in my eyes and something which has the potential to impact a lot of players. Congratulations on your achievement!

I just keep thinking about this game, man. This is a genuine feat of design as storytelling, and a profound statement on "death of the author" in the process. There are so many ways to read it, so many themes to extract, all explored in narrative text and the subtext that's inherent to design. It's just SO COOOL!!!
I'm going to get this to a table if it's the last thing I do
I see that there are 3 ratings, so I know that I can rate it, but I can't figure out how lol
Unnerving, resonant and endlessly clever - This is the kind of work that'll haunt game design discussions for years to come the same way it'll haunt my brain for the rest of the month.
Endlessly excited for the finished product and endlessly delighted by its current version ~
Brilliant work. Absolutely brilliant
This is really unbelievable you were able to do all that for a game jam! even that I read you were mostly compiling Charlotte’s game, but still, the amount of work put into that project is amazing for such a short time, real professional work, well done.
Thanks! Just to clarify a couple of points, I had been working on this but hadn't published it prior to the jam. A significant amount of work was done during the game jam period, but not all of it. My understanding of the submission guidelines was that that was okay, so I hope I understood them correctly and I apologise if I didn't. Charlotte is also a fictional character within the metanarrative - she's me too.
Thanks for the clarifications, sorry for the confusion, very impressive!
