I like the idea of conserving the flashlight to scare away rats and getting through the level. I was able to complete the level despite having low health and nearly 0% flashlight energy.
I played it on the web version so the flashlight was definitely bugged up until I exited fullscreen and the flashlight worked again. This is a good game though with resources in mind.
