A hardcore sidescrolling shooter with some unique controls schemes I've never encountered in another game. The creativity in this facet alone should really inspire future games.
Honestly, Coma State Eden is a bit unforgiving but not in a pull-your-hair out way, especially since there the handcrafted sprites add a lot of character. Visually, the sequences with the plastic army men are especially enjoyable.
The only area in which the game falls short is that it feels a little incomplete, but the developer is actively improving the game. As it currently stands, Coma State Eden should be a decent challenge for fans of the genre as is, and hopefully will be even better when its final version is released.
(By the way, there's extra level content for those who are brave enough to endure the game's hardcore mode.)
